  1. The relevance of the project:

Currently, new state mandatory standards for all levels of education have been developed and approved. Each university independently develops educational programs in accordance with the requirements of the SES, reflecting the results of training, on the basis of which curricula and working curricula for disciplines are developed. The stated scientific research is aimed at improving the system of training highly qualified teaching staff and their readiness to teach.

Updating educational programs in pedagogical higher educational institutions in the context of updating the content of secondary education is one of the important tasks that require research. The methodological bases being developed for updating the content of educational programs of higher pedagogical education will make it possible to bring educational programs of higher pedagogical education into compliance to improve the quality of training of highly qualified pedagogical personnel. The current educational programs do not take into account changes in the curricula of secondary education. The lack of continuity in the content of educational programs of general secondary and higher education for teacher training creates problems that affect the quality of the education system as a whole.

  1. The purpose of the project.

Development of a methodology for updating the content of educational programs for training teachers in natural science subjects in the conditions of modernization of secondary education.

Expected results Achieved results
for 2020: study and analysis of the content of educational programs of natural science education in the “school-university” system in the leading CIS countries and developed countries of the world; study and analysis of domestic practice and foreign experience in the field of the problem under study. Publication of scientific articles in domestic journals recommended by the CECFES of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Publication of 1 scientific article in a foreign publication with a non-zero impact factor.  The analysis of the content and methods of developing educational programs for training teachers in natural science subjects in the leading CIS countries and developed countries of the world has been completed, which helped to determine the current state and ways to solve research problems.

The structures of secondary general education in some developed countries are considered. The content of the educational programs of the Freiburg Pedagogical University (Germany) and the leading pedagogical Russian universities – the Moscow Pedagogical State University and the Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University is analyzed. Namely, the name and content of the disciplines, the number of allotted hours for each discipline, etc.

In the structure of the description (explanatory note) EP SPSU named after Herzen includes:

– general provisions: purpose and scope of application, regulatory and legal framework for the development of the EP of higher education, general characteristics of the EP, requirements for the level of training required for the development of the EP;

– characteristics of the professional activity of a graduate of higher education: areas and objects of professional activity of a graduate, types of professional activity of a graduate / type of tasks of professional activity;

– the planned results of the development of the EP / graduate’s competencies formed as a result of the development of the EP: universal, general professional and professional competencies of graduates and indicators of their achievement, a table of compliance of competencies with disciplines (modules) of the curriculum;

– documents defining the content and organization of the educational process: the curriculum and the calendar training schedule, working programs of disciplines (modules), programs of practice / research work / state final certification (GIA), features of adaptation of the EP for people with disabilities;

– evaluation materials for the quality of mastering the EP by students: evaluation funds for conducting current monitoring of academic performance and intermediate certification, evaluation funds for conducting GIA;

– resource support of the EP: educational, methodological and information support of the EP, personnel support of the implemented EP, material and technical support.

The system of teacher training in Germany is mainly focused on the training of teachers in two subjects. The analysis of the educational program of the Freiburg Pedagogical University shows that the modular curriculum includes academic disciplines in the first subject in the amount of 104 ECTS (43%), in the second subject – 80 ECTS (33%), disciplines of the psychological and pedagogical cycle 40 ECTS (17%), disciplines of students ‘ choice 16 ECTS (7%), given that the total volume of disciplines is 240 ECTS.

The current educational programs for training teachers in natural science subjects, developed by the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, take into account some positive aspects of the EP of other leading universities and are aimed at training qualified teachers who meet all the requirements of the professional community and employers, but require improvement in accordance with the conditions of modernization of secondary education.

Over the past period, 7 scientific papers have been prepared and published, including 2 articles in foreign publications with a non-zero impact factor, 3 articles in leading domestic journals with a non-zero impact factor recommended by CECFES MES RK, 1 article in a domestic popular science journal, 1 article in the collection of an international conference.

for 2021: substantiation and development of conceptual approaches, definition of methodological approaches to updating the content of educational programs for teacher training in natural science subjects in the system of higher pedagogical education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Publication of scientific articles in domestic journals recommended by the CECFES of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Publication of 1 scientific article in a foreign publication with a non-zero impact factor. Work is underway to substantiate and develop both conceptual approaches to updating the content of educational programs and an updated model of teacher training in natural science subjects in the system of higher pedagogical education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (final results in the context and in the aggregate of measures, results provided for in paragraphs 2.1, 2.2 of the plan), in the context of the main aspects of modernization of secondary education.

The training of specialists in any field of activity originates from the development of training programs, which are a set of modules and credit units necessary for awarding a specific degree, for obtaining a corresponding diploma. Updating of educational programs in universities is implemented taking into account the principles and procedures described by the SES (the main document of the educational process).

The key point in the development of educational programs is the learning outcomes, which can be achieved with the correct selection of educational program modules, as well as teaching methods.

Work is underway to determine methodological approaches to substantiating the updating of the content of educational programs for training teachers in natural science subjects in the system of higher pedagogical education.

In the fundamental documents of the Bologna Process, the main guiding factor in the development of higher education programs is the architectonics and harmonization of educational programs at all levels of education.

 

Work is underway to study the continuity of educational programs of secondary education and higher pedagogical education in the subjects of natural science education.

Taking into account the fact that the secondary education of the Republic of Kazakhstan is based on the updated content of education, it is necessary to focus on the revision of the content of educational programs for the training of future teachers in all areas.

Work is underway to determine the principles, methods and procedure for developing educational programs of higher pedagogical education.

The tasks of the stages of education have a certain degree and continuity, they are based on the Dublin descriptors, which are used as guidelines for the development of higher education programs.

The main processes in the development of educational programs are described.
